Women's Centres Connect - Justice Minister Ross Landry met Dec. 7 with Women's Centres Connect representatives to talk about sexual assault services in rural communities. 2011 RCMP Day - Justice Minister Ross Landry attended the RCMP Day festivities on Aug. 12 at Peggy's Cove, as part of the Peggy's Cove 200th Anniversary Celebration. Minister Landry is pictured with Deputy Commissioner (East) Steve Graham, RCMP Commanding Officer for Nova Scotia Alphonse MacNeil, Superintendent Brian Brennan and Inspector Stephen Verrette. Members from Halifax District RCMP and from various RCMP specialized units attended the event, including the Musical Ride's horses and riders, RCMP helicopter, police dog services, bicycle patrol, motorcycle patrol and coastal watch vessel.

2010 Long Service Awards - Long-serving police officers from across Nova Scotia were recognized for their contributions to law enforcement. Justice Minister and Attorney General Ross Landry presented Nova Scotia Provincial Police Long Service Awards at a ceremony in Halifax to 52 recipients. The provincial award program recognizes police officers who have served in the province for 15 and 25 consecutive years.

6th Annual Nova Scotia Police Youth Mess Dinner - The New Glasgow Police Service hosted the 6th annual Nova Scotia Police Youth Mess Dinner at Tim Hortons Camp, Tatamagouche, Nova Scotia where Justice Minister Ross Landry was the guest speaker. The Police Youth from New Glasgow Police Service, Cape Breton Regional Police RCMP Sackville and RCMP Cole Harbour, Halifax Regional Police and Westville Police attended the weekend long event that included a workshop in relation to crime prevention.

Official Apology and Free Pardon to Mrs. Desmond - Justice Minister Ross Landry speaks with Wanda Robson, sister of the late Viola Desmond. Desmond was granted an official apology and free pardon after being wrongfully jailed and fined in 1946 for sitting in the white peoples' section of a movie theatre.

Luncheon at the Pictou Campus of the NSCC - Justice Minister Ross Landry with his mother, Barbara Landry, attended a luncheon hosted by the province and DSME (Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering Ltd.) at the Pictou Campus of the Nova Scotia Community College following an announcement at the TrentonWorks plant March 5, 2010. Students from the college as well as the Chef and his team honoured guests to the college. Minister Landry spoke at the luncheon and welcomed DSME to the community of Trenton.
