Public Safety
The Public Safety Division is dedicated to providing service based on mutual respect, consultation and collaboration with Government, our stakeholders and the diverse communities we serve. We are committed to continuous improvement and to being just and fair in our efforts to reduce crime and its effects. We strive to enhance public confidence in the justice system.
The Public Safety Division is structured in two sections:
- Policing Strategy, which encompasses Police Consulting Services, Private Security Licensing and Compliance Services and Security Intelligence Management Services.
- Public Safety Investigations, which implements the Safer Communities and Neighborhoods Act, the Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program, and the Provincial Firearms Program.
