The public body receiving the application may need to consult with other public bodies with respect to records that were created by or relate to the other public body. A determination is made early in the process as to whether consultations will be required to avoid delay in the processing of the application. In some circumstances the public body may determine that it would be better to transfer the application to the another public body.
