Amherst

The Cumberland Correctional Facility (CCF) was a medium/minimum institution that opened in the 1890s and was decommissioned on January 8, 2015. This facility had a 29-bed capacity for adult male offenders and was operated by 28 employees.

This facility has been replaced by the Northeast Nova Scotia Correctional Facility in Pictou County.

The Cumberland Correctional Facility operated from the 1890s until January 2015.
