Judith Sullivan-Corney is Deputy Minister of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs (IGA), an office focused on the Province's relations with federal, provincial, territorial and other governments. She is also Deputy Minister of the Office of Aboriginal Affairs. She assumed her current role at Intergovernmental Affairs in 2007 and has served as deputy minister at the Office of Aboriginal Affairs since July 2002.
As Deputy Minister of IGA she ensures a consistent approach in the province's relations with other governments, as well as providing a corporate perspective in dealings with these governments. On the federal-provincial front, she also leads IGA's efforts in promoting an understanding in Ottawa of Nova Scotia's priorities, from its offices in Halifax and Ottawa. The Province's Protocol Office also falls under her leadership. It helps to set the scene for Nova Scotia's intergovernmental strategy through managing logistics for government sponsored conferences, meetings and official visits. It also provides protocol advice to both the public and private sectors.
Ms. Sullivan-Corney has a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education degree from Saint Mary's University and a diploma in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University.
