The Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission hosted its 2007 public forum October 10 and 11, 2007, at the Membertou Trade and Convention Centre. The Aboriginal Forum was an opportunity for Nova Scotians to come together and learn about the progress and concerns of First Nations people in the province. Through an interactive panel, group discussion and breakout sessions, the forum examined the history and trauma of Mi'kmaw people and explored foundations for change. Key areas for discussion included education, economic development and health care.
