Healthy sexuality is part of a healthy life

Jennifer Thornhill is a member of The Nova Scotia Roundtable on Youth Sexual Health, a group of health professionals, government representatives, educators, and program and policy staff who are all working together to improve and promote youth sexual health.

The Roundtable works on the premise that sexual health is more than physical well being. It is about emotional and mental health, self-esteem, values, choices and responsibility. Their goal is to provide a strategic direction for an all-encompassing approach to sexual health education, services and support for youth in all parts of Nova Scotia.

As a Roundtable member, Jennifer helps ensure that the issues and experiences of our culturally diverse youth are recognized and represented as these plans and strategies develop.

Healthy sexuality is part of a healthy lifestyle. The Roundtable is committed to providing opportunities for all our young people to develop just that.

Jennifer and the Roundtable want to make Nova Scotia a healthier place to live, and so does Health Promotion. That's why we're proud to support community partners.

Healthy sexuality is one of six key strategic areas Nova Scotia Health Promotion has identified and is addressing to make Nova Scotia healthier. Find out more about our other initiatives:
