Youth Health Centres
 

Approximately 41 youth health centres (YHCs) currently exist across Nova Scotia. The majority are located in schools. These centres provide health education, health promotion, information and referral, follow-up and support, as well as some clinical services. Although youth health centres provide information on a wide range of health issues, they are also a key source of sexual health information for youth.

In order to assist youth health centres in more easily adhering to or working toward the achievement of the standards, the Youth Health Centre Standards and Guidelines were created.
