Building Healthier Futures Corporate Award

The Scotia Bank Bridgetown is a deserving recipient of the 2008 “Building Healthy Futures Corporate Award. The bank employees’ tireless efforts and boundless enthusiasm has helped push two major community projects forward; the New Fire Hall Project and the New Library project. Not only have Scotia Bank Bridgetown employees raised significant funds locally, but they have been able to attain matching contributions from the Scotia Bank head office. Team Scotia’s Community and Scotia Employee Volunteer programs encourage and support employees to assist community groups by matching funds raised up to 5000.00 dollars and rewarding employee involvement with community groups by making direct donations of up to 1,000 dollars to those groups. The Scotia Bank Bridgetown team has also helped to boost awareness of both projects with all the fundraising activities done in the branch and in the community. Their bake sales are legendary.

If all goes as planned there will be a new fire hall and a new library in Bridgetown by this time next year. Congratulations and thank you Scotia Bank Bridgetown, Building Healthy Futures Corporate award recipients.
