Where Do I Go For Help

Adolescent Services

Community- and school-based counselling programs are available for youth aged 13 to 19 and their families. This type of counselling is done in person by appointment with a counselor or therapist who specializes in the youth's issue. Sessions may be held in your local Addiction Services office or in your school. While the format is similar to the community-based counselling for adults, it is more age appropriate for youth.

Youth whose involvement with alcohol, tobacco, or other drug use and/or gambling is having a negative impact on their lives may be referred to a specialized residential program called CHOICES. This program offers extra structure and support while the youth reduces the harms being done by those activities. Find out more about CHOICES.
