Unit: Expected Wait Times in Calendar Days Data Source: DHA Diagnostic Imaging Departments Data Period: October 2009 Next update: End of November 2009 Note: The wait times provided here are for diagnostic mammograms. Diagnostic Mammograms are for patients who are experiencing breast symptoms; such as a lump, nipple discharge, or a previous breast cancer. These are done to get a diagnosis of what is causing the problem. Screening Mammograms are for women who are not experiencing any breast problems. This test is done to assist in the early detection of breast cancer. For more information please see the Nova Scotia Breast Screening Web site: |
