The EHS NSTP facilitates and leads opportunities for trauma care providers to develop and enhance their trauma care knowledge, skills and abilities.
The program coordinator of education and ATLS is responsible for the following:
- Coordination of the Advanced Trauma Life Support
(ATLS) Program..
- Coordination and facilitation of educational
opportunities for trauma care providers.
- Facilitation of Trauma Simulation Sessions and
Monthly Telehealth Education Sessions.
- Working with
Nova Scotia Trauma Advisory Council's Optimal Care Committee to identify
trauma education needs and potential opportunities to enhance trauma care
skills and knowledge.
- Continuing the development and maintenance of
linkages with other organizations and individuals involved in the training and
education of trauma care providers.
