The Seniors' Pharmacare Program is an insurance plan that helps pay for prescribed medications, supplies and related services for seniors as prescribed by authorized prescribers.
The cost of the Program is shared between government and seniors. Seniors contribute to the Program in two ways - through a premium and a copayment. Some seniors may have their premium reduced or even waived entirely depending on their income level or if they receive the Guaranteed Income Supplement.
