Download NS Forestry Data The Forest Inventory Division at the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources offers many geographic data products for download. Please visit their download page for access.

GeoNOVA: Geographic Data Download The Geographic Data Download tool allows users to download data according to the boundaries of their choosing such as municipality, community name, a Nova Scotia 1:10,000 map sheet, or by keying in specific map coordinates. Users may then select map data from any combination of the available products for their download. Additional options are available for map file format and preferred coordinate system.

Aquaculture Site Finder This site is the result of a recent Research and Development project between the Aquaculture Division of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries and The Nova Scotia Geomatics Centre of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations.

Civic Address Maintenance Application The Nova Scotia Civic Address Maintenance Application is an innovative approach to the maintenance of civic address information for the Province of Nova Scotia. The Nova Scotia Civic Address Project, Department of Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations, with the assistance of its municipal stakeholders will be able to keep an accurate and up to date list of the all civic addresses in the province using Internet based mapping technology.

Property Maps Property Online is an Internet browser application that provides online access to land-ownership and related information collected through the province's Land Registration Offices, Registries of Deeds and other sources. The Property Online database contains ownership information, including property maps, for more than 540,000 properties in Nova Scotia, and is available to subscribers.

Coordinate Transformation Service Provides the user the ability to enter geographic coordinates in a user defined map projection and datum and transform the coordinates in an second projection system and datum.

Significant Species and Habitats Database The maps and database only include sites known to staff of the Department of Natural Resources or sites that have been supplied by knowledgeable naturalists, museums, universities, the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History, the Atlantic Canada Conservation Data Centre and other government departments. The maps and database are not the results of a thorough survey and should not be considered a list of all the significant habitats in Nova Scotia.

Restricted and Limited Use Land The Restricted and Limited Use Land (RLUL) database contains spatial boundaries for land that is protected or limited in use for conservation, ecological, resource management, or heritage purposes. Crown land included may be restricted in use by legislation, orders in council, cabinet decree or other legal means.

Mineral Resource Land-Use Atlas The main purpose in preparing this Mineral Resource Land-Use Atlas (MRLU) Internet Map Service (IMS) is to provide the public with a single geographic compilation of mineral resource and related land-use information at a reasonably detailed scale. A key objective is to create a useful reference for practitioners working in land-use and environmental planning, geotechnical firms and groups involved in community economic development.

Nova Scotia Geoscience Maps, Databases and Images The purpose of the Nova Scotia Geoscience Maps, Databases and Images (NSGEOMAP) Internet Map Service (IMS) is to provide the public with a single geographic compilation of geoscience maps, databases and images created and maintained by the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources (NSDNR), Mineral Resources Branch (MRB).
