The Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources and ESRI Canada are pleased to invite you to attend the 2007 Forestry Special Interest Group (FSIG) meeting on Wednesday May 2, 2007 in Truro, NS. The annual Maritime FSIG is a unique opportunity for you to meet with forestry and other professionals in the resource sector who use GIS technology.

This year, we are pleased to offer a range of presentation topics that exemplify advances in forestry GIS by a variety of stakeholders in the forestry and environment communities. Presentation themes include web-based forestry services, old growth forest management, prediction and assessment of forest patterns, forest fire prediction, wood procurement systems, and the latest in mobile and web-based GIS technology.

The peer knowledge conveyed at the Maritime FSIG will provide insight and context to information challenges facing the forestry community.
