The Geomatics Association of Nova Scotia (GANS) is proud to announce the Geomatics Atlantic 2006 Conference. The conference will take place from June 5th to 8th, 2006 at the Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.

The theme of the conference will be Protection, Privacy and Public GIS. The conference program will include pre-conference workshops, exhibitions, keynote speakers, technical presentations, and social events. Workshops will be held on June 5th, with the conference commencing on the 6th and running to the 8th.

In its nineteenth year, Geomatics Atlantic 2006 will bring together academics, practitioners, vendors, and policy makers from Atlantic Canada's geomatics community in a relaxed, informative and productive four day event. The Geomatics Atlantic conference has been held annually since the mid 80's, and since 1994, the site has alternated among Atlantic Canadian Cities. The informal setting for the conference, combined with on-site accommodations will make this event convenient and economical.
