Service Nova Scotia and Municipal Relations is pleased to announce that the Nova Scotia Geomatics Centre is now providing data in a variety of new formats and projections through the popular Data Locator program. Simply log in, select a map sheet of interest and click query to be brought to our new Data Locator - Data Portal (currently only digital 1:10000 data is available for free through Data Locator). Formats now available include, Shape (SHP), MapInfo (MIF), AutoCad (DXF) as well as Geography Markup Language (GML). These formats are available in both UTM NAD83 (CSRS) as well as ATS77.

The Nova Scotia Geomatics Centre is responsible for the collection, maintenance, and distribution of provincial foundation geographic information products including topography, geographic names, civic addressing, coordinate referencing, property records, aerial photography, and more.
