Application Process

Applicants must complete the Seafood Sector Renewal Program application form and include a proposal outlining details of the project.

Proposal submission details may include:

  • Industry impact
  • Proven case for enhanced competitiveness
  • Background research, information analysis
  • Business plan
  • Management capacity and experience
  • Production capability
  • Proposed financing
  • Detailed cost estimates
  • Partnerships
  • Project time lines
  • Logistical details

Application Deadlines

Project applications will be reviewed on a quarterly basis pending funding availability.

Application Submission Deadline: November 30, 2009
Applications must be received by Department staff on or before November 30 th in order to be considered at the 3rd quarterly SSRP project review meeting for the 2009-10 fiscal year. Only complete applications (those including full proposals) will be accepted into the review meeting.

Proponents are encouraged to submit applications well before the submission deadlines to ensure they can be reviewed by staff for completeness and any issues can be resolved before they are evaluated.
