coastal communities to take ownership of their own port
infrastructure.
- A collaborative approach with provincial, federal and
private partners stimulates the development in coastal
communities.
- Nova Scotia administers a client-led program where groups
apply for funding on a cost-shared basis to construct
floating wharves, vessel haul-outs, wharf winches and
group bait freezers.
- Our Community Development Program has improved safety,
access to coastal waterways, and vessel berthing in most
harbours of Nova Scotia.
