Contents It is intended as a guide to major projects in Nova Scotia, either presently under construction or contemplated for the future. Information for the listings is obtained from building permit records, Reed Construction Data and news releases. The listings are by county and cover all known projects of approximately $1 million or more. Highway and municipal service projects are included when they represent major projects, such as bridges or major projects, in the area. Where possible, the approximate value and/or size of projects are given. Concerns about any further update (addition or deletion) to the projects included in this publication should always be verified with the representatives associated with the specific project.

Other In addition to the Nova Scotia Construction Acitivity Report, several government and private company groups produce similar reports which include major construction projects in the Atlantic Provinces. Included among these are:

"The Economy", Ms. Bev Carter, Director, Economic Research & Analysis, Executive Council, Confederation Building, 6th Floor, St. John's, Newfoundland, A1C 5T7, Tel: (709)729-3255. This Report, published each spring, includes a listing of its province's major construction projects.

"Quarterly Economic Report", Atlantic Provinces Economic Council, 5121 Sackville Street, Suite 500, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3J 1K1, Tel: (902)422-6516. The "Major Projects Survey", covering all of Atlantic Canada, appears in the spring issue of its economic report.
