A community embodies a wide range of characteristics. Nova Scotia Community Counts presents socio-economic and other data that illustrate the unique nature of each community. With easily accessible information, Community Counts also allows comparisons of community resources among regional, provincial, and national levels to present a more complete picture of Nova Scotian communities.   • 2006 Visible Minorities data, with an Age/Gender breakdown is now available under the demographics tab.
  • The Comparison Indicator Charts for the following subjects have been updated with 2006 Census data: Demographics, Labour and Social.
  • Updated 2007 data is now available for the Establishment Counts by Employment Size table.
  • 2006 data is now available for all Taxfiler tables at the Canada, Provincial, and County geographic levels.

Community Counts Training Sessions – November 2008

We are pleased to advise you that we have scheduled our next Community Counts Training Sessions as follows:

Monday, November 10
Time: 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm
Location: Nova Scotia Community College, Pictou Campus, Acadia Ave., Stellarton

Tuesday, November 18
Time: 9 am to 12 pm
Location: 1 Government Place, Halifax, 2nd floor computer lab

Wednesday, November 19
Time: 9 am to 12 pm
Location: 1 Government Place, Halifax, 2nd floor computer lab
