Renewable Electricity Regulations
Nova Scotia's Renewable Electricity Plan lays out a clear legal requirement: 25 per cent renewable electricity supply by 2015, using only made-in-Nova-Scotia sources. The plan involves the use of a combination of sources like hydro, wind, solar, biomass, and tidal.
The Government has enacted the regulations to make this plan a reality. There are opportunities for every Nova Scotian, through an enhanced net metering program or through the feed-in tariff for community-based projects.
