2012 Tourism Marketing Programs
General Information
The Tourism Marketing Programs provide cooperative marketing assistance for promotional initiatives that clearly support the implementation of the Nova Scotia strategic tourism priorities identified in the Tourism Plan. There are two programs:
The overall objective is to work with industry to strengthen Nova Scotia’s tourism brand and increase out-of-province tourism visitation and revenues for Nova Scotia.
Program Funding
The two distinct funding components are:
- Festival & Events Marketing: Provides marketing assistance towards the promotion of festivals and events that celebrate the culture, heritage, spirit and maritime identity of Nova Scotia – components of our key brand attributes.
This program is managed through the RTIAs/HRM.
The maximum funding level is $3,000.
- Tourism Experiences Marketing Program: Provides marketing assistance to tourism experiences that will help strengthen our tourism brand, showcase recognized core experiences to visitors and grow tourism revenues in Nova Scotia.
This program is managed and administered through the Tourism Division.
The maximum funding level is $20,000.
