The province is working collaboratively with industry through the new Nova Scotia Tourism Agency on a long-term strategy for tourism, which will help Nova Scotia reach its fullest potential in a highly competitive global market. Summerscapes 2012 Calendar

Nova Scotia Tourism and Saltscapes are once again partnered to publish a 7 month package destination calendar, offering consumer ready getaways. The Summerscapes Calendar Program is a unique marketing vehicle with a focus on packaged product. In this calendar, we will continue to lure customers to the actual product that they can experience… and BUY!

Summerscapes 2012 calendar will offer regional and Ontario consumers (both in print and online) with an action-packed calendar of province-wide events, community festivals and value-added tourism partner packages, targeted at year-round(June to December) consumers. Learn more..

Tourisn InnovatioNS Days

On April 24 & 25 Economic and Rural Development and Tourism will be hosting the 10th Annual Tourism InnovatioNS Days. Formerly known as Product Development Day, past workshops have included topics such as Destination Development, Packaging, and Experience Development.

This year we will be focusing on quality. Participants will learn from leading experts about service, leadership, and teamwork, as well as trends, the physical quality of tourism facilities, and more.

If you operate an accommodation, restaurant, tour or outdoor activity business, a museum or interpretive centre, retail store or any other business that visitors frequent, then this workshop is for you.
