Strategic Cooperative Education Incentive

The Strategic Cooperative Education Incentive provides private sector, government-funded and non-profit organizations 50 per cent of the required minimum hourly wage of $15.00 an hour for co-operative education opportunities.

This program assists high-value businesses and organizations across the region to recruit and retain students for work placements. Approvals will be based on the opportunity for increased productivity, career-related experience, and future opportunities to retain students in full-time, long-term employment in Nova Scotia.

SCEI combines the province's current non-profit based Co-operative Employment Program and the Private Sector Research and Development Co-operative Program.

Financial Information

Organizations have the option of using direct deposit to have funds electronically sent to their bank account. Completed forms should be faxed or mailed to the Department of Finance. Make sure to follow all the instructions on the form to ensure you receive your reimbursement accurately and on-time.
