The purpose of these programs is to support meaningful work experience for post-secondary students in their field of study. This experience helps students qualify for full time employment upon graduation, while enhancing their skills for their chosen career.

Eligibility
Eligible students must be currently enrolled full-time in a post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies in the following school year. A graduating high school student in the program year, who can provide a letter of acceptance for attendance as a full-time student at a post-secondary institution in the next school year, may also be considered.Other programs are designed to provide work term experience for students who are registered in eligible post-secondary Co-operative studies, who require these work terms as part of graduation requirements.
Employers, please read the application guidelines associated with each program before submitting an application.
PROGRAMS
- Student Career Skills Development Program (SCSDP)
Not-for-profit organizations as defined by the program, regulated charities or others defined in Section D, under Eligibility Criteria.
- Co-operative Employment Program (Co-op)
Eligible employers: not-for-profit, government funded and municipal government as defined by program guidelines.
- Private Sector Research and Development Co-operative Program (R&D)
Eligible private sector employers must be engaged in R&D and are claiming either Scientific Research and Experimental Development Tax Credit (SR&ED) or are in receipt of Industrial Research Assistance Program funding.
