Student Employment Program (SEP)

Nova Scotia Economic Development administers several programs designed to assist employers in a variety of sectors by providing a wage rebate to encourage them to hire students. Eligible students must be currently enrolled in a post-secondary education and returning to full-time studies in the following school year. A graduating high school student in the program year, who can provide a letter of acceptance for attendance as a full-time student at a post-secondary institution in the next school year, may also be considered.

Other programs are designed to provide work term experience for students who are registered in eligible post-secondary Co-operative studies, who require these work terms as part of graduation requirements.

Employers, please read the application guidelines associated with each program before submitting an application.
