Regional Planning and Development Division
Regional Planning and Development implements, assists, and supports the department's efforts at the community level. It manages provincial government economic development activity in rural Nova Scotia. Core functions are undertaken in close support with Nova Scotia Business Inc. and complement the efforts of other government departments and jurisdictions.
Regional Planning and Development's office network helps communities and business organizations participate actively in their own economic development. Working with regional development authorities, communities of interest, and geographic communities, staff continually seeks to capitalize on strengths and opportunities to grow the rural economy.
