Communications
This office maintains close communications with all Nova Scotia Economic Development divisions and associated organizations. There is a close relationship with communication offices in other government departments, Nova Scotia Information Services, the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency and Industry Canada. Staff receive and act upon numerous requests from these sources, as well as from the media.
Responsibilities:

Communications is responsible for all media contact within Nova Scotia Economic Development. All media enquiries received within the Agency are referred to Communications where staff research the information requested and ensure timely responses are forwarded. Radio, television and print interviews are arranged and monitored through this office. News releases for the department are written here, and it is the point of contact for Agency input into media activity requested by associated departments and organizations.
