The Nova Scotia Business Development Program helps small business get started and existing businesses expand. This program encourages business start-ups and provides help through qualified consultants for business operators to review and assess their practices and develop new approaches to ensure success.

Through the program, assistance is provided for eligible business activity that increases productivity, explores product innovation, delivers strategic planning, implements operational efficiencies to improve competitiveness, and expands the international commerce participation of a business.

Support for approved services for start-ups and existing businesses will be made at 50% of total costs, to a maximum of $10,000.

Each application is reviewed and funding decisions are made based on program criteria.
