Nova Scotia Regional Development Authorities
Nova Scotia is recognized as a world leader in community economic development work as a result of the successful model used by the province's 13 Regional Development Authorities (RDAs). The RDA approach is a community driven process in which local groups develop initiatives to strengthen the community and make it more economically viable.Funded by and working with all three levels of government, these grassroots organizations focus on community development, business counseling, skills and learning, regional promotion, investment and recruitment, information and research and innovation according to individual community needs.
