 Conference Evaluation: Summary This summary details the results of the post conference evaluation survey - 117 were received. Thank you to all those who responded! The overall feedback for the organization of the conference has been very positive. Some recommendations were made in terms of making food more accommodating for various tastes, cultural considerations and seasonality. Nutritional considerations were also pointed out. People seemed satisfied with the conference venues but did suggest the Delta conference room was cramped for the number of delegates attending. Conference organization overall  "Went very smooth, and any questions were answered quickly." "Would prefer to have more information on concurrent sessions to aid in deciding whether to come to the conference and then once there to determine which session to attend. On-site registration was smooth." "I was very pleased with the conference organization it was one of the first conferences (And let me tell I attended many) that I didn't feel rushed. "The Delta rooms were very comfortable; however, the sound did come through from other rooms when the concurrent sessions were on." It is a delicate balance between a nice awards ceremony for well- deserving community groups and spending too much when many non-profits and community groups are struggling for adequate funding." Overall support for presenters  "The presenters were very informative especially the play it was great." "There was a wide variety of speakers from all different backgrounds. They were all wonderful presenters and taught valuable lessons. The speeches and discussions were insightful, informative, and inspiring! Also, a great opportunity for networking. The entertainment was phenomenal. The awards night was absolutely fantastic, but kind of over-the-top... I'm just wondering how many other attendees were wishing that the money spent on the awards night could have been put to more community development projects/initiatives."  "The conference was well organized and facilitated. However, for my way of looking at things, there were too many platitudes coming from government, too much mention of economic development and too little discussion of the affective foundations of community motivation." "Conferences by and large are what you make them. The program content was excellent and there was lots of opportunity to participate and network." "I felt that the presenters really showed that grassroots was where the power was as well as showing the need for government funding. Ms. Frances really was the icing on the cake." "The interaction between community and government could have been more structured and the onus left less to community to engage with government.
