P-12 parents, students, and teachers
High-speed access opens up a world of information: is your child is at school today, what is in the curriculum, what's going on with the school board, where can I get pictures for my project, what are the wildebeests in Botswana doing today?
The Internet can also help keep parents, students, and teachers in touch with one another. One way is to create a class website, with homework assignments, upcoming tests and quizzes, and links to online dictionaries and other sites that match the curriculum - once the teacher has seen the sites and knows they will be useful. The websites that are easiest to use are simple, without backgrounds or moving characters. To find out more about building a website, see Tips: How to build a website
