Broadband for Rural Nova Scotia (BRNS) is committed to supporting a sustainable culture of broadband use across the province. As part of this commitment, BRNS is working with rural communities to identify how broadband applications can help them to survive, to grow and to prosper in the future.
Building a High Speed Future is a funding program sponsored by the Department of Economic and Rural Development (ERD) and managed by BRNS. The program will fund projects in communities that are exploring the opportunities to deliver online content and services that come with high-speed access.
The program will support communities to increase their capacity to:
- Encourage broadband leadership and collaboration on broadband activities
- Support Internet-related learning and development for community members
- Develop local online content and services
