What is covered?
Costs eligible for the Prototype Boat Credit Facility:
- Naval architect, mechanical, electrical and other engineering design costs associated with the development of a prototype boat including laboratory tests.
- Production set-up costs including molds, jigs, tooling, environmental controls and training of employees
- Materials procurement, transportation and storage.
- Construction costs including overhead costs, consulting engineering, surveying and process improvement.
- Sea-trials including transportation, insurance, consulting engineering, crew costs and costs associated with re-design and re-work on the prototype and where applicable tonnage measurement and registration costs.
- Legal, accounting, administration and other overhead costs of the project excluding interest costs.
