Developing and Preserving Gaelic in Nova Scotia: Strategy for a community-based initiative

Leasachadh agus Glčidheadh na Gŕidhlig An Albainn Nuaidh: Plana Airson Iomairt Choimhearsnachd

Leasachadh agus Gléidheadh na Gŕidhlig an Albainn Nuaidh (Developing and Preserving Gaelic in Nova Scotia) is the result of three years of co-operative development between the Gaelic Development Steering Committee and the Department of Tourism, Culture and Heritage. It incorporates information collected at public meetings held throughout Nova Scotia in November 2002 and data reported in the report Gaelic Nova Scotia: An Economic, Cultural and Social Impact Study (2001). It is a plan for the preservation and advancement of Nova Scotia's Gaelic heritage. As well, the strategy acknowledges the valuable contribution that Gaelic language and culture makes to Nova Scotian society and its economic resources.
