Industrial Facilities & Waste
“Industrial facilities“ include a broad range of processing and manufacturing activities, as well as construction related activities such as:
- building products manufacturing (asphalt shingles, gypsum board, bricks, etc.)
- Portland cement plant
- asphalt paving plant
- stationary ready-mix concrete plant
- pit
- quarry
- topsoil removal greater than 1 hectare
- sulphide bearing material disposal (slate disposal)
These facilities, and including those that handle industrial waste, are regulated by the province.
