The fight against poverty continues all across Nova Scotia. From the community groups, to the advocates, to our government, we strive to ease the burden of poverty for fellow Nova Scotians.
Although social safety nets exist to help those in need, we know life can be better for many people.
There are many reasons why poverty exists. There are even more ideas on how we can fight it.
We believe a cooperative plan, seeking real results for real Nova Scotian families is the compass we must follow. The past has shown us that working separately, we can chip away at poverty. Let the future prove that together we can make a real difference.
Our charities, churches, advocates and government departments can’t go it alone. We all must come to the table for the sake of our fellow Nova Scotians who find themselves in the grip of poverty.
Thank you for taking a moment to share your thoughts. Your opinion matters. We look forward to reviewing your comments. After all, a strategy developed to help real people living real lives right here in Nova Scotia needs the input of real people. This is about fundamentally changing the way we tackle poverty. We want to make Nova Scotia a better place for everyone.
