Leaders of Today (LOT) 3 Event Report

November 28-30, 2008

This report provides an evaluation of the LOT3 weekend. LOT3 is the result of three years of work by youth, youth organizations and government to develop a provincial youth network that will help youth organizations coordinate and work better with each other and government. The success of the weekend was evaluated by its ability to meet three broad objectives and deliver three specific outputs. The weekend was evaluated through feedback from the participants and the observations of an evaluator present during the weekend and its planning. Overall, LOT3 was successful in meeting each of its predetermined objectives and outputs.

More work needs to be done to better ensure full regional representation in the Network. However, the weekend brought together a diverse group of representatives and delivered a strong action plan that built on the previous work done by LOT and included concrete mechanisms through which the Network can engage with government and the Child and Youth Strategy.
