Liz Cody was appointed Deputy Minister of Treasury Board Office and Chief Executive Officer of the Chief Information Office on December 1, 2011. Previous to this, Liz served as Associate Deputy Minister of Treasury Board Office, as well as led the provinces Expenditure Management Initiative since November 2009.
Prior to joining the Treasury Board Office, Liz spent 30 years at the Department of Finance where she worked on tax policy, budget planning, fiscal and economic policy and negotiations with other levels of government on major fiscal transfer arrangements. She served in successive executive positions, most recently as the Associate Deputy Minister of Finance from 2003 to 2009.
Liz holds a bachelor of business administration degree from Mount Saint Vincent University and a masters degree in public administration from Dalhousie University.
She is married with three children and resides in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
