Nova Scotia Medal of Bravery: Recipients

2011 Award Recipients
- Samuel Adams of Hilden, Colchester County, Nova Scotia
- Corporal Winston Matheson of Enfield, Nova Scotia
- Nancy McBay of Gaspereau, Nova Scotia
2010 Award Recipients
- Daniel Blinkhorn, Barrington, NS, rescued his mother from their burning home
- Colin Brownell, Pugwash, NS, pulled a man to safety from a burning vehicle
- Jerome Tracey, Port Hawkesbury, NS, helped two neighbouring families flee their burning homes
- Steven Wilton, New Waterford, NS, escaped a bus in icy water to get help for the other trapped passengers
2009 Award Recipients
- Douglas Baird, rescued a skater who fell through thin ice into frigid, deep water
- Claire Joyce Collier, saved senior residents from a burning apartment building
- William Smith, pulled a 14-year-old girl from a burning car wreck
