Nova Scotia Milk
Milk - fresh, great tasting, and wholesome. In Nova Scotia, there are a number of quality check points that milk must pass through before it reaches your table. Beginning at the farm, every dairy operation is inspected and certified before it can produce milk.

Cows are monitored and tested regularly to ensure good health. Once milk leaves the cow, it is kept cold in stainless steel tanks. A sample is taken from every tank of milk and sent to the laboratory in Truro for analysis. The milk is then transported by bulk tanker trucks to one of the four provincial dairy processors in the province.

Milk is natural - nothing is added except vitamins A and D which is required by law. Milk is packaged within days, usually within 24 hours, of arriving at the dairy plant. From the farm to the table, milk quality is number 1.
