Advises the Minister on all matters related to administration

Work & Experience Requirements |
Experience that includes: proven ability to identify and
distinguish weeds; experience with weed control practices;
and knowledge of the affects of invasive plants on
agriculture. |

Skills Required |
Ability to identify and distinguish weeds and a basic
knowledge of weed control practices.
Should have: ability to judge fairly; make decisions; high
degree of integrity; and ability to handle confidential
information.
Chair position requires: proven leadership abilities; proven experience in
chairing organizations; and good communications skills |

Statutory Nomination Requirements |
One member must be nominated by the NS Federation of
Agriculture. |

Traditional Nomination Requirements |
Historically, the Minister has appointed 1 or 2 members
recommended by the NS Federation of Agriculture,
representatives from the Department of Agriculture and
Fisheries, 1 member from the NS Agricultural College and
1 representative of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. |
