Food Hygiene Training Courses Currently Recognized by
The Nova Scotia Food Hygiene Training Review Board

The following courses have been deemed acceptable as per Section 28 of the Food Safety Regulations and are noted as follows:

  • Nova Scotia Food Hygiene Training Course, NSDA
  • SERVSAFE
  • SERVSAFE On-line Version, Managers Level, Minimum eight-hour length
  • FOODSAFE LEVEL 1
  • FOODSAFE LEVEL 2
  • Canadian Restaurant & Foodservices Assoc., National Food Safety Training Program
  • Canadian Restaurant & Foodservices Assoc., National Food Safety Training Program On-line Version
  • TRAINCAN BASICS FST
  • TRAINCAN ADVANCED FST
  • TRAINCAN BASICS FST On-line Version
  • Retail Council of Canada FoodWise Food Safety Program
  • Costco Food Safety Certification Program

This list will be updated periodically as other courses are added to those deemed acceptable under Section 28 of The Food Safety Regulations.
