Each year, Camp Rankin operates for five weeks to provide 4-H Members from across Nova Scotia with a “4-H Camp Experience”. The camping program offers sessions on canoeing, recreation, crafts, nature studies, drama, water safety and 4-H. Flag raising, campfires, “the ghost of Angus Rankin”, Friday night banquet and the Spirit Manitou are all part of the camp experience.
4-H members, alumni and supporters are all a part of the Camp Rankin program. The N.S. 4-H Camp Rankin program runs four junior camps and one intermediate camp each summer. Each year employment opportunities are available for the various camp positions including director and assistant director to cook and counselors.
