With the French-language Services Act, the Province of Nova Scotia has taken steps towards providing more services in the French language. To ensure consistent quality and professional translation standards across government, the Office of Acadian Affairs plays a lead role in providing translation services.
The objective of Translation Services is to provide quality translation, revision, proofreading and terminology services to departments, offices and agencies of the Nova Scotia provincial government, enabling them to provide for the delivery of services in both official languages, as required by the French-language Services Act.
Any question regarding translation services should be referred to the French-language services coordinator in your department or by contacting the Translation Service at the Office of Acadian Affairs at 424-0497 or by e-mail: closem@gov.ns.ca.
