Stakeholders from Nova Scotia's culture sector, business community, tourism industry, and provincial and municipal governments participated in the Rencontres France-Acadie trade mission to Nantes, France, from March 18 to 24, 2013. The goal of the trade mission was to foster and develop cooperation between Acadie and France.
The stakeholders had the opportunity to participate in sectoral meetings, roundtables, business-to-business meetings, performances, and networking events, as well as to present their company or organization in a booth at Nantes' Village de la Francophonie.
The meetings focused on transatlantic cooperation in four areas: economic development, post-secondary education, cultural development, and tourism development.
