TGI: DRILLING WINTER 2000

Drill Targets

  • Drill targets were established by using seismic surveys to identify areas of deep surficial cover (glacial tills, gravels and clays)
  • In the project area, two large lowland basin were determined to have deep unconsolidated material overlying the bedrock. In the river Denys Basin, to the North, three holes were drilled. To the South, in the smaller River Inhabitants Basin, one hole was drilled.
  • Further holes will be drilled in both these basins in the upcoming year's drilling program (summer/fall 2001)
