Canadian Firearms Safety Course
(Long Gun) - Part A

 

Duration: 12 to 15 hours
Course Fee: $50.00

The Canadian Firearms Safety Course is offered by the Nova Scotia Community College. The course includes instruction in safe firearm handling, storage and transportation. Students complete a practical test and a written test; pass mark is 80%.

Persons over age 18 can opt to "challenge" the course; they can forego the classroom portion of the course and proceed straight to the testing component. For details on this option, contact:
