• Make sure the owner meets some of the evaluation criteria and is eligible.
  
  
• Return a completed nomination form to any DNR office or fill out an electronic nomination form and submit it by email. Nominations are accepted until March 31 of each year.
  
  
• Nominations are evaluated and regional winners chosen by April 30. A provincial awards committee visits regional winners and selects a provincial winner by May 31 of each year.
